Many times Xiaomi users forget their Mi account password and sometimes they also forget their pin and pattern. So in this post, we are going to discuss how to reset Mi account password as well as reset Mi smartphone pin lock.
There are two different ways to recover mi account password. First is to recover by following steps of recovering via OTP. And second way is to recover it via Mi account unlock tool.
If first method (Resetting Mi account password) with OTP from Mi account site doesn’t work for you then you can bypass Mi account password using Mi account Unlock tool.
Reset Mi account password
If you have forgotten your Mi account password in your Xiaomi smartphone then you need not to worry. You can recover your Mi account password following the simple steps given below:
Recovering Mi account password with OTP
- Visit Mi account website account.xiaomi.com.
- Now click on the Forgot Password option.
- Provide your email or mobile number that is linked with the account.
- You will receive a verification link in your email or you will receive an OTP if mobile number is chosen to reset password.
- Follow the instructions mentioned in your email or provide OTP to confirm your identity.
- Enter the new password to reset the Mi account password.
- You have all done. Enjoy!

Bypass Mi account with Mi unlock tool
- First of all Download Mi Unlock tool from here.
- Now unzip and install Mi account unlock tool in PC.
- Turn off your Mi smartphone and boot in recovery mode by pressing and holding power button and volume key.
- Connect your Mi mobile with your PC via USB cable.
- Now run the Mi account unlock tool in your PC.
- Click on the Information tab to see all info about device.
- Click on Bypass Mi account to unlock your device.
- Now your device will reboot.
- You have all done. Your Mi mobile is unlocked.
